A Most Dangerous Question

There is a question lingering in the back of the minds of many Christians. They rarely express it, and it’s often dismissed as soon as it crosses their conscience. It usually appears when they lay awake at night, or contemplate their walk with God.

It’s a simple question, but it’s implications are life-changing.

Before I share the question, I have to warn you. When I began asking this question, it literally changed my life. The question has appeared a number of times in my walk with God and each time, it challenged almost everything I thought I know about the Christian life.

This is an eye-opening question. A question that may just be the beginning point of a new work of God in your life. If you honestly ask the question, God will answer. However, His response will almost always require a response on your part.

So if you are ready, here’s the question,

“Is there more to the Christian life than I am experiencing?”

Are you disappointed? Were you expecting something more? It’s a simple question that opens the door for God to awaken your heart from slumber.

You may have asked this question before, but have you asked it to God? Have you ever made it a prayer to Him?

Each time I asked God this question, His answer has surprised and challenged me.

What might happen if you began asking God this simple but important question? Are you experiencing all God has for you?

If you are willing to ask the question, you may be amazed at what God says.

If you are ready to hear God’s answer, join me in this simple prayer.

Father, is there more to the Christian life than I am experiencing? Is there a new work You want to do in my life? If there is, then I want it. I want all You have for me. If there is more, then open my eyes to what I am missing. Open my eyes to what is keeping me from experiencing all You have for me. I want to live the Christian life to the fullest. Please show me and teach me what I am missing.

In Jesus Name,

Amen

When you pray a prayer like this, God is going to respond. He is going to open your eyes to new things in the spirit. He is going to show you areas in your life you have never given over to Him. When He does, it will challenge you, it will call you to a new and deeper relationship with Him.

As God shows you new and exciting things, it will require you to change your thinking, search the Bible, and open your eyes as never before.  As God begins to open your eyes, you will experience the Christian life as never before.

My prayer for you is that God will begin opening your eyes to all He has for you. I am praying as He opens your eyes, you will see areas where you need God to do a new work in your life. I pray that as God opens your eyes, you will respond in obedience and faith.

I’d love to hear your story, share your thoughts in the comments below.

Father thank You for opening our eyes to see the Truth of all that You have planned & purposed and thr finished works of Jesus which where completed and by grace through faith through the tests & those false things which manifest as false evidence appearing real are evicted & dispelled as we trust in what You said/say…submitting ourselves to You (agree with You who we are/our identity in Christ; as He is now in heaven, so we are now in the earth; a spirit recreated in the image of God), who them resists the devils’s lies (thoughts) & false evidence, destroying the works of the devil through appropriating The blood of the lamb, the Word of God, overcoming by the words of our testimony, and he flees. And by Grace we set our minds on things above; keeping our minds on things above/The victories that you wrought for us (as it influences our soul: mind/will/feelings & emotions) which direct us and determines our experiences. Thank you for letting us to see/believe/agree/proclaim all that You have for us to enjoy to Your glory in Christ Jesus’ name!
