As we pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 for ourselves, our church and our county, we have the promise that when we pray, God listens.
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
Have you ever felt discouraged because you keep praying, but nothing seems to change? Ever felt like surely God had forgotten your prayer, or maybe He never hear them in the first place?
We all have times of discouragement in prayer. Ever thought, “If God would just get on my timetable, things would be a lot easier.”
Prayer is hard work.
It takes discipline and faith to stand before God and pray for spiritual awakening. When we pray for spiritual awakening, we are asking God to move in the hearts of people across our country.
As we pray, God begins moving in the hearts of those we are praying for. Sometimes it takes a long time for them to respond to his word, but we know that He is working.
Faith is holding to the fact that God will do what He has said He would do. He has promised that when we humble ourselves, turn from our sin; He will hear our prayer.
We may not see Him working, but because of his promise, we know that He is. Even when we feel discouraged, we have the promise that God hears our prayers. He has promised that He will hear and will answer our prayers.
So, don’t give up in prayer. Keep praying, keep believing and trusting God. Keep standing in faith that God is going to bring spiritual renewal in our lives, our churches, and our country.
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. – Galatians 6:9
Let’s Pray Together
Father, together we claim 2 Chronicles 7:14 for our country. We need You to work mightily in our nation to bring it back to You. Draw our leaders and our President close to You. Remind them that they need Your blessing each and every day.
Bring a revival to Your church. Let Your Holy Spirit fall on churches across the country. Empower them to proclaim the Gospel in their city. Make them lighthouses of truth in their communities.
Father, we are praying, we are turning to You and asking that You hear our prayer. Thank you for the promise that you will hear and heal our land.
In Jesus name, Amen
